Women's History Month

Women’s History Month is dedicated to appreciating the achievements of women throughout history. The month of March is used to honor women’s tenacity, courage, creativity and growth that women have attained over the centuries.

Originally International Women’s Day, then Women’s National History Week, and finally women were allotted March to celebrate Women’s History Month in 1987.

At the University of Florida, Women’s History Month is presented by the Women’s Student Association which creates many exciting and informative events in order to celebrate the history of women. Each year, a collective effort is made in order to ensure the greatest Women’s History Month possible.

The Women's History Month planning committee for the 2013-2014 academic year is currently preparing for an exciting month! Please continue checking this page as information will be posted as soon as it is available!
